2013 was an adventurous year for me. I experimented with many new cooking techniques, tried new cuisines, and explored new restaurants and markets. I love how food brings people together, and I believe that much can be learned about a culture from the food they eat. In a way, cooking can transport us to a particular place and time–it’s magical in that way. Through Flavorful Journeys I hope to inspire readers to try new things, go new places, and share in the flavors of the world. Thanks for following my blog, cooking with me, and sharing memories!

This coriander fish with lemon zucchini rice is satisfying, fast, and flavorful. A perfect dish for those wanting to eat healthy in the New Year.
When I think of dessert, I inevitably think of chocolate, and this tunnel of fudge cake is a chocolate lover’s delight. Truly decadent and irresistible!
This kongnamul bap is full of flavor, with fiery kimchi, spicy soy sauce, and crunchy bean sprouts.
These crunchy shrimp balls are fun to make and incredibly tasty. Their unique, satisfyingly crispy texture contrasts nicely with the shrimp filling. They make excellent appetizers!
Raku was my favorite dining out experience in 2013! Crispy shrimp, homemade tofu that was to die for, udon noodles with fois gras . . . so good! If you’re in Las Vegas and want to splurge on dinner, try Raku.
Those are some of my favorites of 2013. Let me know what your favorites are and have a very happy New Year!
