It’s been a while since my last post . . . I blame vacationing in Las Vegas; after all Vegas isn’t conducive to productivity. Rather it’s a decadent city—a place to go to relax and unwind. There’s great entertainment, marvelous casinos, and fabulous food.
One of the best things about Las Vegas is the food and the sheer quantity of it! Normally buffets are all about quantity, but typically lack in quality. In Vegas, you get the best of both worlds: an unlimited amount of delicious gourmet food.
However, not all buffets are created equal. Here’s my list of the two best buffets in Las Vegas:
The Bellagio Buffet
Corey and I went here for lunch and it was amazing! One of my favorite things about the Bellagio is their seafood selection. They have smoked salmon with all the accouterments—capers, red onions, tomatoes, cream cheese, and lemons—creamed and pickled herring, smoked trout, the largest ice bin of cocktail shrimp you’ll ever see, spicy tuna hand rolls, shrimp spring rolls, various fresh sushi rolls, and more.
In addition to their fine selection of seafood, the Bellagio buffet features cuisine from around the world, including Japanese, Chinese, Italian, and American. They also have a wonderful salad bar, charcuterie spread, and delicious, mouth-watering desserts.
You typically have to wait in line to get a table at the Bellagio and service can be a tad slow, but trust me the food is worth it!
Do you want proof of their scrumptious desserts? Here you go:
Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing
Pecan Pies
Vanilla and Chocolate Éclairs
Financier Cake
More Cheesecake and Something Chocolatey
These were just some of the decadent confections the Bellagio had to offer! Now you can see why it’s made the list for the two best buffets in Las Vegas.
The Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan
As much as I love the Bellagio buffet, I love the Wicked Spoon even more. The Wicked Spoon has a nice atmosphere, excellent service, and high-quality food with great attention to detail.
The Restaurant
Homemade juice, smoked salmon with capers, Greek yogurt with granola, berries, and honey, chicken-apple sausage, artichoke salad, pain au chocolate, and salamis
Corey and I had brunch at the Wicked Spoon and we were both very impressed. I was so happy to see fresh pain au chocolate (a French chocolate croissant); it reminded me of our honeymoon in Europe. They were always my breakfast of choice and every time we rode a train, I would get one. The crispy croissant, the warm chocolate that melts in your mouth . . . brought back memories and made me long for France.
A lot of the dishes at the buffet were made in house, such as the Wicked Juice, house-cured bacon, house-made Italian sausage, and smoothies. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful!
When reading reviews online, everyone mentioned the bone marrow at the Wicked Spoon. I had never tried bone marrow before and found it rather flavorless and gelatinous, but maybe it’s an acquired taste. The house-cured bacon on the other hand was a smoky delight on the taste buds.

One of my favorite dishes at the Wicked Spoon is the Korean BBQ (I was too ravenous at the time to get a picture as we had skipped breakfast. Plus, my plate was piled high with grilled Korean short ribs glistening with sauce that you would have thought I was a tad bit crazy). Their vegetarian Udon noodles, Chinese Pork buns, and Indian curried rice pack in the flavor.
The Wicked Spoon uses ramekins, small plates, and miniature Dutch ovens to create individual portion sizes and creative presentations. I like this because it lets you try small quantities of dishes. It also makes your plate a whole lot neater!
The baker and I at the Wicked Spoon must have the same love for chocolate and raspberry combinations. They had a molten chocolate cake submersed in a raspberry sauce, a chocolate-raspberry tart, and a chocolate bundt cake with raspberry sauce. They also had fresh raspberry sorbet! Ok, I’m totally in love!

The Wicked Spoon and Bellagio buffet are the two best buffets in Las Vegas! If you go to them—and really you should—let me know what you think.
In my next blog post, and I promise to write it shortly, I will talk about my favorite restaurant in Vegas—an authentic Japanese restaurant in the heart of Chinatown.
Note: These opinions are my own. I haven’t been paid or sponsored in any way.

We LOVED Wicked Spoon! Beautifully arranged food and everything was so tasty! Something for everyone! Only drawback is, we must have come in the wrong entrance because we had to go through at least 4 football sized hallways to get to this GEM! Cosmopolitan, move this restaurant to the forefront!!
